Everybody empties their bag

A girl in a red velvet costume covers her mouth in shock
A boy in a pirate costume stares open-mouthed
A mountain of candy fills a wood-panelled living room
A pack of simplehuman custom fit liners lying on a bed of candy
Behind the scenes: candy pouring out of an upturned simplehuman liner

Made to fit the can. Strong enough for the whole haul.

Custom fit liners

Door to door, at miniature scale

A puppet in a skeleton costume pulls a red wagon carrying a simplehuman liner past a picket fence
A ghost on a skateboard rides past the skeleton, who holds a pumpkin bucket
From behind, the skeleton and the wagon head toward a lit house under a crescent moon
A devil and a fairy drop candy into the simplehuman liner on the wagon
The simplehuman liner, packed full of candy, sits on the wagon in front of a porch
The trick-or-treaters sit on a lawn around the open liner, candy spilling out

A pillowcase wouldn’t survive this route.

Project descriptionCredits

simplehuman custom fit liners are made to match simplehuman cans exactly, so the bag sits snug and stays put. They’re also built strong. For Halloween, we put that to the test with the one load every kid cares about: candy.

The campaign is two films with one idea. Every haul needs a bigger bag.

The Haul is live action. Back home after a night out, the kids pour out their baskets and buckets, until a knight upends a simplehuman liner and buries the living room in candy. We shot it low, at kid height, in a warm wood-panelled den, so the pile looks as big to you as it does to them.

Trick or Treat is stop motion. A puppet skeleton pulls a red wagon from house to house with a liner where the pillowcase should be, picking up friends and candy along the way. Every puppet, house and fence was built by hand and shot frame by frame.

Two worlds, one bag, and the same ending: more candy than anyone could carry. Too much candy is the right amount.
